Last entry for P1.
WE HAVE COMPLETED OUR VIDEO!!!! HURRAY!
Although we are the last to finished the video in the class, but we are really happy.
Today we meet up at 1200.
Shuxian started doing the storyboard and i helped her out, and Gina and the rest continue doing the video. We started to edit the clip as shuxian had download the Adobe Audition into my laptop and importing it into the video. We also add in subtitles and colour correction as some parts of the video looks too dark or too blueish. Time passed really fast. Around 5 + i had to levae due to some family matters...while the others in my group continued with the video.... thanks for understanding me gals......... i called them around 7+ and it seems that they were not done yet..poor themWe then began to start touching up. They had a problem while trying to rewind the whole video. Seems like we can't select the whole video to be rewind. So they ask Alvin for help and there, the problem is solved. He is really good at this! But... while they were rendering, something happen again. The video can't be rendered after 1.59mins. But after that they got helpped from a lecturer and completed it...Finally everything is over.yippy

Day 32
Yet another day wasting time........
YA....... today in 3D lab, Shuxian passed the complete and exported video to Gina and combine everything together. And now Gina is combining everything together. And dam we faced a big prob.......Jen’s Mac can’t detect the hard disk. So she had to Blue tooth the whole file to Adeline’s MAC......... So we have to wait very long again....But it's too too slow. So we have to borrow the external hard disk from Apple's group. And cause them not able to do their work for a few hours as the transfer took a really really long time....[....oh very sorry APPLE AND FRIENDS.....and thanks for your kind help, we really love u all....].....And the hard disk can't be formatted because it doesn't have some format. and so it can't be readable to a MAC lap top....after a while it somehow manage to raed the format and read the format, and we started tranfering......we only finished tranfering at about......7.30pm...[oh god...another day is gone, just like that...]......We are still editing the last footage at this time.....We have finalised with our audio and Gina is going to remove the singing part and do some editing with the audio.......And so,

Day 31
Oh well, it was a very shot day for me....
I had finished the animation of words into the board, oh man i had to stay up late till 3.30am to finish the animation...thats dam tiring la...... we kept moving in the video, therefore i have to edit the words for every frame in order to make it stay on the board.....[:(...dam pinful la...:) but its will fun and lovly to see and whole peice when its done nicely :)........
I went to school in the morning around 11.45 only to see Gina and Shuxian, Jen and Adeline was late..... i had something on that day i couldnot join them.....so i passed the completed animaton work to Shuxian so that she can change the fonts and left.

Day 30
Well
Today i went to school to continue with the animation of words on to the board as i didnot finish it at home that day before and i uploaded some of the videos that we haven upload yet.....i was doing my animation work as, Shuxian was editing the intro animation by giving some colour to it. While Gina completed with editing the pictures we took in photoshop, she then passed them to jen so that she can join them into a slid
Then i took home the animtion as i had quite alot to do and i prefered doing it at home. Jen then took home the editted pictures to join them nicely into a slideshow...that was to be added to our video....

Day 29
YO peeps
We had our presentation today......we showed alfie our animation and he told us to make the "stickman production" words a little more exciting and nicer...and so we decided to add colour to the words. most of our videos and stuff were in the 3d lab and so we told him we would show it to him later wen he drob by to 3d lab....so he later came there to view one of our videos (the quick motion of holding board one) and thank goodnesss he like it..... and ya it turns out that we don't even need to submit any scripts/schedule/storyboards and so since we've already done it, its okie..... butbutbut...we aren't too happy with the quality of the storyboard and so we're probably going to redo that one.
After Alfie left, we all continued with editing the stickman works and adding animated words to the boards. we also selected some more songs which we thought would go well with our video.....we didn't finish adding colours to the works in each frame......Shuxian brought back the animation to work on the colouring and i brought back the fast motion boards one home to animate our names on to the board.

The group didn't meet up today...but we all have stuff to do for the presentation tomorrow. all the footage and all are saved in shuxian's hard disk and we've got a another back up in jen's new laptop. :] lucky arse...got a new macbook pro. Xb

well well..........well............
today we went to the 3d lab and transferred the other footages as well as the one from the 2D lab to a computer in the 3D lab. Shuxian continued to improve on her flash, Gina typed out the schedule for presentation tomorrow, and i uploaded the video to the com and the rest are going to redraw the storyboard to make it more presentable...i took the back the staring of the story borad and jen took back the last pages....so yea thats what we did!! and ya Gina took back the stickman animation so that ahe could work on the dragging part. man it's pretty tedious but the stickman was dam cute thanks to Gina and Shuxian...shuxian gonna finish editing the pictures of our work in photoshop! and we have decided to take a break tomorrow...so the group's not meeting up! yea..finally can rest

Day 26
Well, today we felt very hold back, as we still haven't film our content, therefore we decided, to start filming our content, we could no longer wait for alfie, as we were afraid of running out of time. We went to a room in the 3/10 classrooms and set up our camera and set our lightings and audio, since i have finished my interview, i took over the audio recordeing part.
Gina went first...as usuall its not easy being infront of the camera....she was a bit nervous too. we took a few shots of her, after a while, me and gina left as we had something on. Jen, and Adeline continued their filming after we left, and Shuxian helped them out.

Day 25
Hmmmmm....wat we did todae ah????
oh ya, we meet up to do our interview and realised that our script was not ready, alfie has not editted them.... so in the end, we went to the 2d room to upload our video that we have done so far and cut the shots that we dun want after which we moved to the level 5 studio, Gina, Jen and I went to take pictures of our 2d, ideation work, while Shu xian stayed up there in the studio doing our intro animation..... after a while wen everyone was about to leave i went back to the 2d labs to continue with the editing a bit of the video, till 6.30pm as i had DOC main com meeting at 6.30pm.

Days 24....
Hie guyz.....
Today we thought of filming our content. But then Alfie is still not ready with our script. So we uploaded the rest of the video into the computer and do some editing. Ya and the 3D lab is occupied again and 2D lab is crowded with people. But then we managed to get a computer in the Mac Lab. however the macs does not have premier software. So we went to get the software from Raj and installed in my laptop. But, the firewire could not be connected to the laptop. So we did nothing much and wasted a day.So that's for the day!

Day 23
Hey ya....
We decided to meet up at 11 instead of our usuall time 10.30...since Shu xian and Gina always comes early and ends up waiting for us... we r sorry gals, i m very sorry, i tend to get late as i stay far, and ends up waking up late....
So todays actually most of us came on time.... we den straight went to filming my interview part as i am the only one wif the complete and edited script....Gina brought her audio recorder so that she could record my voice and edit it later on. I did memorised my script, but i was too nervous and shaky in front of the cam.....i also get a bit tensed..therefore i ahve to take alot of shots before doing a good one....but even my good one wasnot taken that well....but we decied to go wif it as we had little time left.
After which we went to com lab at the 6 level to continue editing, since the 3d lab was closed and the 2d lab was full....but unfortunatly that lab did have adobe premeire po and after effects....so sad.....

Well, we are surposed to meet at 10.30 todae, but i had pre u seminar meeting from 10 to 1pm..... i m sorry guyz, i could not skip it. well den after that i meet up wif my group mates at teh 3/10 room, they told me that only my script was editing for filming. But i m sorry that i was not prepared as in i have not memorise the scripts, or wasnot even mentaly prepared for filming....so we postpone it to the next day.
We den had a long chat with alfie about lots of stuffs...after which we moved to the next room 3/10 room to film me doing the process of work for animation fundamentals and film Jen doing the process of work for 2d arts funamentals....well we called it a day den....

Day 21

Well today we decied to upload our video that we have taken so far, as alfie has not complete editing our script. After uploading the video, we walked to the bedok resevoir to film the process of our photography module. Gina pretended to take pics of the secenary just like wat we did for our feild trip in our photography module, while jen filmed her and the rest of us just enjoyed the scene and the cold weather.
After which we realised that we have ended early, therefore we went back to our 3d studio to film the process of work for our 3d art fundamanetals module. Shu xian, used the clay to create the coiling mug, while we film, we used the quick motion process to make our video look better. And yup thats all for todae....

Day 20
Hello
today we met at 1030 and started working. While waiting for the rest to come, we decided to upload some videos we have taken the past few days to the computer and did some editing. it takes a looooong time to upload. In order not to waste time, we started on the animation and our script. we finalised it all and send it to Alfie for checking.
Den, We went to film alfie's interview, it was short and great. Den we get alvin to help us out with the focusing of the cam. After which we ask him to act as the itroducer for the modules in our video.....[ thanks for all the help man ]...

Day 19...Props day
hello....
today we met at 1030 again. Yup. so gina, jen and i went to collect our foams and slice them up to smaller pieces in the workshop and wrapped them with mahjong paper as our 'books' that we will be using. after that we went to the classroom and start shooting. However we realise that we had some problems so we decided to postpone the shooting tomorrow. we did not really do much things today. ya so we will continue everything tomorrow. byebye...

Day 18..Filming our opening
Hie guyz....
How have u all been......well yup one block is over....
My group mates and I did our filiming for the opening today..... We had planned to meet at 10.30...but as usual we started late....sorry Gina and Shu Xian to make both of u wait...
In the end we started shooting around 12+, haiz..we have missed the crowd...and ya We forget to charge our cam and we had borrow a cam from hanis group,..[ thanks gal...u saved us]...oh well we den continued hoping to get more crowd later on....our opening was quite tiring....we stood there for abt 2 to 3 hours with our boards, it was kind of stupid, but we enjoyed doing it, and love our final product....
We took turns to film each other as we have to stand for very long wif our boards and at the same time we need to keep track of our timing...Germine helpped us to film and keep track of the time at the point where all of us needed to appear in the scene....[ thanks gal...u rock....haha ]

Day 17
Hello PPl
Today's the first week, first day of our block 2, We meet up around 12pm. Gina did a great job, with the flip book animation. Her drawing were smooth, they were very cute!!!!
After doing some discussions and finalising on some of our work. We rent the Video camera and shot the the flipbook animation. We had to take many many takes as none of shots was stable and there were lots of pauses. After doing so many tries done by Gina, Adeline, Shu xian did a perfect one in just one take. Gd job gal.
Thats all we basically did and tmr we are shooting our opening and hopefullu it goes well.
We still have our scripts for the main content part.

Day 15
Hello
Today's the interim assesment. very informal presentation. we were marked on the content. We did a very brief presentationon what we have done till date and our schedule and storyboard. We only had our schedule planned for the next week. so i guess we won't be sending Alfie our schedule soon. Then after the presentation, we had a small discussion and settle with some stuff.. and yeah thats for the day.

We went to the mac lab today and we wrote out really brief ideas for the script, and we took a look at some fonts on the net and settled on a couple of fonts for our project! and we all each have to talk about a module and so we got that figured out...and now we just have to write our own scripts for our parts!
We were kind of have finish of our storyboard and plan on our script. Hopefully we finish our script writing and start our shoot soon.

Day 13...absorbing on wat i have missed
Hello
Well, i have not been well, was having high fever over the week end, my fever and headache was preety bad that i actually could not make it to school yesterday for day 12. There i didnot meet up my groupmates and i have notinh to blog.
But today i came to school and did meet up with the others, as i missed stuffs yesterdae, i ask my groupmates on the updates and the changes they have done. they had some changes on the style of the video and had half finished storyboard. i was happy and pleased with the idea and storyboard they came up with. They without delaying moved to on into completing out shedule and story board.

Day 10....Behind the scene shooting over...
Hello Guyz...
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone....
Hope you guys have enjoyed your day!
We today planed to stop our shooting of the year two, as we had more then enough footages. We den sat down and replaned our idea as we had a better idea. We made modifications to it to make it a bit simpler. After which we called up our Lecturer Alfie and consulted him about our new idea. He accepted our idea as it was easier and something different. With some disscussion and elaboration from Alfie we got a better idea on what to do. We den decided to meet up tommorow to plan our story board and the shedule for our shooing. Thats all for now....gd luck to my fellow moi mates.

Day 8....Not in class...but at shooting spot
Hey everyone....
Yea today my group mates and me never go class, but instead we were with our year twos at the shooting spot. Today was the first shooting for the behind the scene video. As plan we meet the year 2s at bugis in the morning around 11.30. After we meet we explain to the years twos what exactly we are doing. We then waited for their cast to turn up and stated our shoots......
Well there is nothing much to explain about what we did there
But you can take a look at what we were up to:

Day 7....Planning and finalizing
Yo again
Yippy!!! Finaly the planning was over and we have decided on what we are to do. We had decided on the idea of doing a behind the scene video about the year twos. As the year twos are working on their production currently we were adviced by Alfie and Ronald that we go for our shoots now and keep the shots we have first.
We called up our Year two Fiona to get the permission to work with her group mates, Thanks to Fiona, we got the permission from her and her group mates. We disscussed the timing and location that the Year twos are going to work on. we accepted to meet up for the shoots and start our production as well.
So tomorrow we are having our first shoot with the years twos....Hopefully everything goes on well.....

Yippy!!! Finaly the planning was over and we have decided on what we are to do. We had decided on the idea of doing a behind the scene video about the year twos. Day 6....presentation
YO everyone
Today is presentation, haiz....we had to present our idea to our lecturer Alfie and to our classmates. What my groupmates did was,

Day 5...
Brainstorming and planing before our presentation.
Todae we plan our final view and ideas. Each of us had our own idea and style of making the video. We wrote down our idea and disscussed the different ways of doing it. we also toked about or pros ans cons of working on that ideas. After discussing the with our lecturer Alfie we narrowed down the idea. Finally choosed one to work on with. But we desided to present all the idea we had briefly so that Alfie can give us some clue on what to do with our other ideas, so that we still have something to work one even if have to back up from our main idea.
These are our ideas and working plans......
As for the opening we plan to do a animation to video shot. We wanted to do an introduction of our self and our video with animation and switch it video as according to our objective.
The content itself was to be a shot of an production, behind the scene shots.
The ending was to be switching our work back to animation style and fnish it by the scene saying MOI.....
We have come out with and power point presentation to express our thoughts, ideas, planings, objectives and themes to our lecturer, so that he can give us some clues on where we going wrong and whats good about ideas...
I hope we are on the right track and everything goes well for our presentaion.....

Day 4...Identify
UNDERSTAND, BRAINSTORM, IDENTIFY, DISCUSS
Well thats all we did in today's class....
Fistly we had our lecturer Alfie to go throught again on what are we surposed to work....
He made his explanations short and simple that we were able to UNDERSTAND what was required to do.
After which we get into our groups for futhetr discussion. We den in our groups did some BRAINSTORMING on the themes we were going to work out with. When we had narrowed down our themes we IDENTIFIED and DISCUSSED the content of the video and the style of the video we were going to work with.
Even after much disscussion we still have not confrim on what to do as we are constanly updating on new ideas.We hope to narrow down our ideas and choose the final ones for presentation on tues.

Day 3
Hello
Yea todays the third of this module MOI P1,
Today all the classes had lesson in the lecture theater. All our lecturers, Alfie, Ronald and Wahidah played some videos for us to show what we are surposed to do n not to do for our project 1.
We were told to observe the style of the video, the tyopes of seting they have used and the way the introduction and the ending was animated. The video from marvel was useful as it give me an idea on how to make my videos creative as possible.
Besides after watching all the video me and my group mates are more clear now to think of what kind of work to present. Yea so thats all for todays blog..

Day 2....Discussion
Yo me again
Hey today is day 2 and we have started our discussions regarding our video.
Today we started class around 12.30 as we waited for the studnets who had morning class to come. After which we gathered with our groupmates as went into squeezing our brains for themes, content and style of video to work with.
Basically each and everyone of my groupmates came out with interesteing n creative content and style of video to work on. We then shared our ideas with our lecturer Alfie. He gave us comment that our style of the video was interesting but we were out of the theme that we surposed to work on.
After consulting with all the other groups in our class, alfie realised that we were all focused on the style of the video that we forget about the theme we going to work with. Therefore Alfie then explain more briefly to us on the exact thing we are surposed to work on.
Now my groupmates and me are clear on what to do for the video, besides us i am sure my fellow classmates are also cleared after todays discussion. Thanks to Alfie we are on the right track.
On the whole i am happy to work with this environment as my group mates are understanding and sportive. We listen to each other's idea before adding more to our discussions. Besides my groupmates, my lecturer Alfie is patient and very helpful to us, that at time we go off track and he brings us back.
Well thats for now, keep reading my blog people, well i know is long winded but there are interesting stuffs about Moi and my groups disscussions to uploaded in the upcoming blogs.

Day 1....MOI P1
Hello,
Well it was my first day for this module, Moving Images(MOI) Project 1.
We had briefing by our lecturer Alan, on what we are expected for this module in the Lecture
theatre 25.
We were told to create a video, on our experinces and journey being a MOI designer in Temasek polytecnic(TP) for the pass 1 year. Our target audience are secondary school students, Tp freshmens, Open house visitors and Parents. The video we are to create should be able to encourage and motivate our taget audience to choose Tp Design as their first choice.
After the briefin, we went to out classes, and were serparated into groups of fours and fives.
My group mates are Jen, Shuxian, Adeline, Gina and myself.
We then get together with our class lecturer Alfie and dicussed the brief futher detailed.
We were then told to come out with our own idea individualy and discuss with our group mates tmr.
The first day was not bad. After al the discussions it seems to be a easy video production with alot of plaining to be done. I am happy with my group mates as we are a fun bunch of girls, who love to explore new things out. All of us know each other quite well after spending a year in Tp as designers together. I hope we will work out as one and produce a success full piece of video.
